Astutia STARTUP: Get-Together with Venture Capital, Family-Owned Businesses and Art

On Wednesday, June 26th, 2019, many of our friends and business partners from the fields of venture capital, family-owned businesses and art came together at the Astutia STARTUP event. Under sunshine and in a relaxed atmosphere, 120 invited guests enjoyed the evening at the premises of the Stiglerie event location. The artists Birthe Blauth, Manuela Hartel and Dominik Theobald accompanied the evening with selected multimedia works and interactive installations. In the panel discussion, we could explore the intersections of venture investments, family businesses and art, together with Sebastian Schaal, founder and CEO of Luminovo GmbH, and Max Marcour of the Dräxlmaier Group. We would like to thank all guests and contributors for the beautiful evening.

Horizn Studios: Next Financing Round

Horizn Studios has closed the next financing round with a total volume of EUR 10 million. Besides Astutia Ventures, the investors were Milano Investment Partners, Project A Ventures, Vorwerk Ventures, Perpetual Investments and Tarsadia Investments. Horizn Studios was founded in 2015. Stefan Holwe, Jan Roosen and their team develop and manufacture smart luggage for the digital age. The new financing round will help to push the international expansion. Astutia is invested in the Berlin-based startup since 2017.

Within a construction project, the software of reINVENT can digitalize the entire communication process between developer, clients and contractors. This can substantially lower project costs and speed up the construction.

New Investment: reINVENT

ASTUTIA invests in Munich-based construction tech startup reINVENT. In construction projects, the software can digitalize the entire communication process with clients and contractors – from the planning stage, to the actual building process, to key delivery. This can substantially lower project costs and construction time. The company was founded by Prof. Dr. David Uhde (CEO), Julian Stieghorst (COO), Valentin Rüchardt (CTO) und Christian Brachert (CIO). Besides High-Tech-Gründerfonds as lead investor, Foundamental and Bayern Kapital joined the financing round. With the capital, the team is going to refine the software and advance the structures for distribution. We are looking forward to going the next steps with reINVENT together.

Tim Cook visits Asana Rebel

On September 21, the Asana Rebel team was delighted to receive Tim Cook in their Berlin office. The Apple CEO took his time to chat with the team, asked many questions and used the opportunity to learn more about the products and the app. Apparently, the team did a good job: Tim Cook said that he would become a customer of Asana Rebel.

Asana Rebel raises EUR 15 M Series B

Berlin-based health-startup Asana Rebel has raised a series B round led by Greycroft Partners and E.Ventures with a total volume of EUR 15 million. ASTUTIA Ventures is invested in the company since January 2016. Until today, the Asana Rebel yoga and fitness app has been downloaded 8 million times. The founders Robin Pratap and Pascal Klein want to invest the capital in the further internationalisation.

ASTUTIA works together with the EIF

From now on ASTUTIA Ventures co-operates with the European Investment Fund (EIF). In selected cases we will work together with the European Angels Fund (EAF) program, which invests in innovative founders and start-ups in the seed-, early- and growth-stage. The EAF is active in several European countries. A joint project is already on the way. We are looking forward to working together.
